NBC Offers New Training For New Church Leaders
Nazarene Bible College, in
cooperation with Evangelism
Ministries, has launched a new
training track for leaders interested
in starting new churches. NBC
President Dr. Harold Graves Jr. said,
“We are thrilled to serve the church
in this way. We are excited about
helping new churches get off to a
good start.”
A combination of campus and
online courses will make it possible
for any existing or potential
NewStart church leader to develop
the skill sets and plans necessary
to launch a strong new church.
Through four core courses and
NewStart assessment, a student
can earn a “Certificate in NewStart
Leadership” within a year or begin
a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry.
The program will emphasize
practical application, solid theory,
and interaction with experienced
practitioners.
The next NewStart Orientation
is scheduled for July 14-18, 2008
on the beautiful Colorado Springs,
CO campus of Nazarene Bible
College. A NewStart Assessment is
also being planned for the weekend
following the week long intensive
on July 18-20. The Orientation
Course will be taught by Jim Dorsey,
Director of Evangelism Ministries,
and Alan Duce, Professor of Pastoral
Ministries.
Two of these four courses will
be available online for interested
students. For more information or to
reserve a place in one of the courses
offered on campus, contact Alan
Duce at (719) 884-5155 or email
him at saduce@nbc.edu.
